Born in 1955 in Queens, New York, Mr. Baillie graduated from Hauppauge High School, on Long Island, in 1973. He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 1977 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. He next attended the University of Miami School of Law. While there, as a Supreme Court certified legal intern, he tried over 50 cases for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office, then under the direction of Janet Reno.

Upon graduation from the University of Miami School of Law in 1980, Mr. Baillie was admitted to the Florida Bar and began a seven year career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County. While an Assistant Public Defender, he represented over 1,000 clients charged with virtually every crime imaginable, ranging from petit theft to first degree murder.

After leaving the Public Defender's Office in November of 1987, Mr. Baillie opened his private law practice, specializing in criminal defense, and divorce and family law. In 1990 he moved his practice to Stuart, Florida where he maintains his office.

As a member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Baillie is licensed to practice law in all State courts within the State of Florida, and has represented clients throughout the State. Additionally, he is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where he has represented clients charged with federal crimes. As a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit, County, and Family Law Mediator, Mr. Baillie has assisted in settling hundreds of cases.
